A global civil society movement for a skilled, supported and protected health workforce.
The coalition’s vision is simple and ambitious: skilled, supported and protected health workers for everyone, everywhere.
HW4All brings together civil society organizations and advocates working on human resources for health. It seeks to increase civil society influence in global and national policy-making and to spur action on health workforce shortages, decent work, health worker rights, migration and sustainable health systems.
In 2021, HW4All relaunched as a lively and democratic community of independent, critical-thinking activists and organizations across Southern and Northern boundaries. The renewed structure emphasized co-leadership by members rather than a heavy institutional model.
The 2024 source notes that the coalition is currently dormant because of a lack of core funding and capacity among the former core team members.
