Response to the Draft of Universal Health Coverage Political Declaration

The United Nations High Level Meeting (HLM) on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) will take place on the 23rd of September 2019. The outcome of this meeting will be a political declaration reflecting commitments from member states on their efforts to achieve UHC. Member states, under the leadership of the co-chairs Georgia and Thailand, are currently negotiating the text of the The Political Declaration. The Health Workers for All Coalition prepared a response to the draft of the political declaration in order to inform the negotiations and specifically strengthen its commitments around the health workforce.
